Your questions about Hugo

Of course, a seam can never be 100% waterproof, like a glued film, for example. But that's not our claim; there are other brands with this expertise. We want everything in your Hugo, Kalle, and the like to stay dry if you get caught in a shower or go for a walk in the snow. And we can guarantee that with both Cordura and the recycled material.
Our bags and backpacks are sewn together by trained specialists using modern machines. This is quite different from sewing a T-shirt and requires not only the right tools but also years of experience. We also hem each seam. This is a time-consuming and expensive step, but it helps ensure that Hugo is a long-lasting product that can withstand anything!

Sure. Lots of people do. Or for university, training, or work. It even fits an A3 notebook. Laptop, thick folders, large water bottle—no problem.
It doesn't look like a baby at all, and things like the stroller attachment are easily removable. Nobody thinks of Hugo as a diaper backpack ; that's our top priority during development.

Yeah, you can do it once in a while. It's best to do it at 30 degrees Celsius and in a bag. No fabric softener, and please don't spin too hard! It's like with your running shoes—they won't get any better. 😉
You can also remove light stains with soap and a soft brush. And be sure to waterproof regularly! -

NO WAY! We can hardly empathize with that. But let's assume it really isn't your thing... just return it.

Good question! Things cost what they cost here. Unfortunately, mass production in low-wage countries has often led us to lose touch with the true cost of our consumption. At Anna and Oskar, we pay everyone in the entire supply chain fairly and well. Even when it comes to materials, the best (and most sustainable) is unfortunately often the more expensive option. We wanted to create a product we could be incredibly proud of. And we've achieved that with Hugo.
It's so well-designed that you can easily continue using it as a work bag or for everyday use after the diaper change period. You can also pass it on to someone else or sell it; they're selling for almost new price on classifieds.
